Beautiful images are my favorite.
I'm Cat Chaplin, a family, couples and lifestyle photographer based in Upstate South Carolina. The other half of 'Cat & Tim' is my lovely husband. He's an ex-marine, and now spends most of his days HR-ing for a large company, but you'll probably meet him if you book a wedding or large event with us.
My style is pretty much like me - laid back, relaxed and authentic. I'm very low stress and low drama, with a ton of patience. But I'm buzzing with creativity and will work tirelessly to tell your story and create your vision. I'm completely obsessed with capturing the small moments, the little glances and subtle connections that really tell your story.
I began my photography journey in California in 2016, capturing the things and people that brought me the most joy. It started with taking candids of my children when I was homeschooling my daughter for kindergarten. After seeing the love and connection in my images, friends started reaching out asking me to photograph their families too. I was blown away by how much joy it gave me to capture meaningful images that other people loved, and now I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
I don't just want to take your photos. You have your phone for that. I want to leave you with images that make you feel something.
When I'm not taking photos, you can usually find me sweating through crossfit workouts, bobbing around on a lake, and wrangling my children, cats, dogs and chickens!

I don't know what I would do without Cat and Tim. I have been working with them for over four years and they continue to impress me with their talent. As the owner of a product based business, I need product and lifestyle photos. The images I receive always elevate my brand, and they make each shoot feel easy and fun! I appreciate how quick the turnaround is for me to receive my images. I am so thankful to work with such talented professionals who go above and beyond each time we work together.

Where do I even start with these two? I am extremely lucky to have come into contact with Tim and Cat. Personally, I feel awkward when I am getting pictures taken but they always do a great job of making me feel at ease and loosened up so the pictures are genuine. They also have a knack for capturing amazing moments. Not to mention, they are extremely professional and fun to work with. They have done work for me personally, for my gym, and they will even be doing family photos for me in the future. If you are looking for someone to capture an amazing moment, look no further. These two truly love what they do and it shows in their work. I can't thank them enough!

After a couple of photoshoots with Cat and Tim, I can honestly say I would recommend them to anyone. They made me feel completely at ease and they know exactly how to get the best shots out of you. The proof is in the photos, which really are incredible. The lighting is spot on and they manage to capture really beautiful moments.

Cat and Tim did our family Christmas shoot and we absolutely loved our photos. They both quickly put us all at ease and had a bit of fun with the kids and our dog! The shoot was a mini session, so it didn't take long, and the photos came out really beautiful and natural, just what we wanted. I'd highly recommend them and can't wait for next Christmas!

Cat is awesome to work with. She takes time to listen to what I need and is always well-prepared and organized. She has photographed both model/lifestyle shots as well as still life flat shots for @thelettermanco. She has a unique eye for using natural light and capturing authentic reportage-style shots. I'd recommend their photography services to anyone looking for business or personal photography.

I have known Tim since 2014 and he has always been someone with integrity and character. I met Cat when they both photographed my wedding in 2018 and they did a phenomenal job. My sister-in-law ended up using them for her wedding the following year. I wish I still lived close by them so they could capture my growing family every year. Highly recommended by me.
